Things I hope will come to an end in 2010

The word SWAGGER
There are no words to describe how much I hate the word swagger! For those of you that have been living under a soundproof rock for the past year, a definition according to Urban Dictionary is:

"Swagger is to to move with confidencesophistication and to be cool

Swagger is to conduct your self in a way that would automaticaly earnrespect

To dress in a very stylish and quirkily fasionable way would suggest one is swagger. "

Does anyone remember when 'Swag' was a negative term, when it used to mean 'crap'. Like, "Tesco's VALUE digestive biscuits are, swag".
When did it turn into a positive term. When did EVERYONE start saying it? Its kind of like a swear word, people used "Swagger" when they're too thick to think of another word. I mean if I saw a young man dressed in a "very stylish and fashionable way", I would suggest they simply had a good dress sense, were suave or just look plain nice.
In 2010, I hope the thick people amongst us replace the word Swagger with the word FLY and take it back to the old school. Its a much nicer word, Will Smith said it in Fresh Prince AND, most importantly, it was never formerly used for another purpose, other than the 6 legged insect with wings of course.

WET-LOOK LEGGINGS
The worst thing about these atrocious bin-bag leggings, is that towards the end of 2010, it was always the fat girls that would wear them! Now I have nothing against the larger people amongst us, but when your leggings, that are supposed to be opaque and shiny, are infact sooooo stretched, they are now see-through, and I can see your Primani thong at the back...its just not right!
When the high street shops such as New Look, TopShop and H&M stop stocking something, and Wembley and Walthamstow market start stocking it, take this as a sign that you SHOULD STOP WEARING THEM!

FUNKY HOUSE CHANTS AKA CRAP FUNKY HOUSE
Instructional dance songs went out of fashion with Mr Motivator and his spandex leotards. I DO NOT want to be told how to dance in a club! The only reason why Cameo's 'Candy' is allowed is because 1.) Its actually a good song. 2.) Theres no actual instructions in the song itself. 3.) Because it doesnt include me 'getting down low', 'touching my toes' or shaking my rear end so that the fat perv behind me with a bottle of warm, flat Moet in his hand can get cheap thrills!
I remember the first funky house song I heard, it was 'Fish Go Deep, The Cure and The Cause'. It was the kind of funky house that I could close my eyes, sway my body and sing-a-long to. I miss that. Bring that back. Sack the "MC's"

SPELLING MISTAKES, ONLINE
Im not even going to moan about this one, everybody knows it is annoying. Just download Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari and get with it.

POMPOUSNESS
This usually occurs in men. That air of self-importance that men with small penises, shit cars, impotence problems, usually have. JUST STOP IT. Please leave it behind in 2009!

Tribal Magz - Tribal Man Skank Official Video (HD) Out 25th January

I didnt like the original. I dont like this version. But the video is really, really, really, really good! And thats why I posted this!

2009 Year in Trends

Jumpoff.tv recently named their top 5 trends for 2009 as:
5. The mohawk
4. Shaving the side of your head
3. Artists doing live U-Streams.
2. Hating on Auto Tune.
1. Getting pregnant by Lil Wayne.

At this time of year its hard to sit back and think of the last 12 months in a non-biased manner, you keep thinking of things which only happened in the last month or so. Anyway, heres my attempt at a non-biased, London focused top 5 trends for 2009.

5. Blogging
4. British (well London really) music i.e. Grime, Dubstep, Funky & Electro
3. Unemployment
2. Twitter
1. Blackberry

Tinie Tempah - Pass Out

SONG OF THE DAY!
This song surprised me ALOT, the former 'Wifey' singer has recently signed to Parlophone Records and with 'Pass Out' as his first single after the signing, it seems he made a good label choice. Mixing Hip Hop, Electro and Drum & Bass, 'Pass Out' is something a little different. I'm not too fond of the chorus, but there are some witty lyrics thrown into the verses, the beat is sick and the video decent. My favourite bit comes in at around the 3:30 mark, check it out!

Ny - Sea Sick

Havent blogged in a while cos I have 11,000 words to hand in, in less than a month...so yeah priority's and all that jazz. Just saw the video for Ny's Sea Sick, and I'm late I know, I know. But I just wanted to post it up cos I think its a really good song. Its a good pop record and if someone like Cheryl Cole sang (tried to sing) it, then without a doubt it would go to number 1. But you know what, lets not dwell on ifs, buts, maybes and the favouritism of the music industry, instead lets support Ny and check out her video, get her video views up and cop the track when its released (insert date here?)

N-Dubz ft Mr Hudson – Playing With Fire

I like this. And I'm not the biggest of N-Dubz fans so thats saying alot. However I think Mr Hudson looks just as confused as I am as to why he is on this track?? But it actually works! Tulisa looks hot in this video!!!

Natalie Ferrol's reply to Common's Come Close

Make sure you watch this the whole way through, she smacks it towards the end with the high notes!

Master Shortie - London's Town

Music video for Master Shortie's London Town, taken off the ADHD album, directed by Jamell Damaje Williams. Look out for both of these names in the future. Master Shortie is a rapper/singer with his own clothing and footwear label and has toured with just about everyone from Lil Wayne to N-Dubz. Jamell Damaje Williams is an up & coming music video director, scenester and music extraordinaire that has filmed various concerts including Beyonce's. This is Jamell's first low budget video, which is just the beginning, expect to see lots more from this guy in the future!
